We’re proud to reach out to a wider community of groups and organisations. These connections unlock support and opportunities that enrich school life for every pupil at Cockington.
The success of a school is built on more than just what happens in the classroom. Tapping into a wider network brings new perspectives and broadens the horizons of our school and our children.

The school’s provision for personal development is a strength. Pupils learn about fundamental British values and experience democracy through voting for school council representatives.
Ofsted report 2025 | Inspector
Your children were all highly engaged in every type of play and bursting with sheer joy and happiness. I had wanted to see an Opal school play ground in action, as I've seen and shown many video clips to my school team and our school council but to stand and watch your children in action was amazing. There were so many children completely oblivious to us as visitors because of how engrossed they were in their learning. The way you have used your grounds and the set up was much more than I expected.
Mrs Butler | Deptuty Head
The children who attended the Torquay United match are a credit to your school the way they behaved. They didn't stop singing despite the bad weather!
Jo Harris | Community Officer at Torquay United
Reading is at the heart of the school’s curriculum. Behaviour is exemplary
Ofsted report 20025 |
"The children who came to work with our residents were very respectful. The residents enjoyed celebrating the King's Coronation with them."
