With children and young people relying on their tech at home for learning and entertainment during lockdown, it remains vital to keep conversations about online safety going and raise awareness of reporting routes if something goes wrong.
During this latest lockdown, pupils at Cockington Primary will be set online safety activities via Seesaw and ILD over the next few weeks. But in the meantime, you may wish to access the following 'Simple 15 minute activities' resources to help support this by clicking here.

Social media apps your children may be using
Social media apps are constantly being developed that can change lives considerably, many for the better, but there are also some that can have a negative impact on children’s wellbeing. It will be an on-going challenge to stay ahead of these apps but we will endeavour to keep you informed when we think children are at risk.
Several specific apps have been brought to our attention lately, some you'll likely be aware of, such as YouTube, and some you may not be, and whilst your child may not even be aware of them yet, we know they are widely used by children and young people. To help you get an overview of these apps, we've shared some information about them.
Parent Info from CEOP/Parent Zone
Parent Info is a collaboration between CEOP and Parent Zone which provides high quality information to parents and carers about their children's wellbeing and resilience.
In line with CEOP’s Thinkuknow programme, some of the content covers internet safety, but it all starts from the assumption that young people make little distinction between their online and offline lives and the issues for parents are often the same. The aim is to help parents help their children be discriminating, web-literate and resilient.
