introduction

Children in Year 6 are given more responsibilities and take on an important role across the school. They are the role models for our school. Y6 leaders are voted for by the whole school - the head boy and head girl positions are voted for, as well as other Y6 leader positions. The Year 6s also apply to be school buddies to help and support children on the playground.

If you would like to contact your child's class teacher, you are welcome to talk to them at drop off and pick up times, or contact them at:

Year 2 had a visit from Sophie Pierre from Montel Civil Engineering, the company carrying out the works at Torquay harbour. She talked to the classes about constructing bridges, how health and safety has changed and then challenged them to make a bridge using only paper! It was lots of fun and the children have new ideas for their final bridges now.

Year 5/6 Boys Football Cockington A 3-0 Shiphay A Goals: Finley Alfie C Jack POTM: Roman - Made some great saves and deserved his clean sheet, making sure we was still in the game. Last Thursday we hosted Shiphay in the first game of the new season. After defeating them 2-1 previously the boys looked to make it another win. The first half was very slow and the boys struggled, thanks to Roman making some great saves and some good blocks from Leo, we went into half time 0-0. We woke up second half and Finley grabbed another goal, coolly slotting between the keepers legs. Alfie grabbed the second in pretty much identical fashion. Finally Captain Jack scored a lovely solo goal. Good start to the season. Well done boys.
